The European Commission is launching a wide-ranging public debate on the opportunities and challenges posed by Radio Frequency Identification technology for government, industry and society at large.
Mrs. Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media, will launch a public debate on RFID at a high-level panel discussion at CeBIT 2006. Registration is recommended - read more. The discussion will be preceded by a press conference.
